NorMin cops implement color-coding in quarantine checkpoints

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Police Regional Office (PRO) in Region-10 has begun implementing color-coding schemes in quarantine checkpoints as part of strategic measures to identify vehicles.

PRO-10 director, Brig. Gen. Rolando B. Anduyan on Tuesday said that under the guidelines on quarantine checkpoints for 2019 coronavirus disease (Covid-19), vehicles with red color stickers indicate that it is carrying patients under investigation for Covid-19.
Vehicles with blue stickers are those authorized to travel within designated areas and carry pertinent documents, while vehicles in white stickers are for residents who are not advised to go out within the jurisdiction of their local government units.
The colors will be placed on the right portion of the windshields of the vehicle for easy identification by control point personnel, and in order to lessen the traffic congestion in quarantine checkpoints.
It was noticed that in the region, the province of Misamis Oriental was visibly implementing it based on the inspection made by the Red teams.
Lt. Col. Mardy Hortillosa II, PRO-10 spokesperson, acknowledged that the measure needs “fine-tuning” following observations that some failed to comply with the regulation.
Hortillosa said PRO-10 will continue to “formulate, assess, revise and supervise the strategies in the conduct of law and order cluster to prevent and contain the Covid-19 in the area without hampering the delivery of basic goods and movement of authorized persons.” (Ercel Maandig/PNA)
