Lanao Sur Manpower Center launches renewed strategic plan

MARAWI CITY: Lanao del Sur Provincial/City Manpower Development Center (PCMDC) has just concluded the Center’s two-day Strategic Plan on Dec. 8-10, 2021 here.

Newly installed PCMDC Administrator Insanoray Amerol-Macapaar conducted the center’s “2022-2026 Provincial/City Manpower Development Center (PCMDC) Strategic Plan” outlining a bold vision and six (6) ambitious strategic goals adding COVID-19 response to ensure sustainability, and healthy future proof working arrangements amidst this crisis.

The vision for the center is to be known as the leading resource center of excellence in providing technical education and skills development hub for Lanao del Sur. With its theme, “Advancing technical and vocational knowledge and skills for an evolving Bangsamoro Society,” the said activity was held at its new extension office located at barangay Datu Saber, Marawi City.

The strategic goals are improving equitable access to and participation in inclusive quality education, quality of teaching and learning, human resource management, student services for effective delivery of quality technical education, state-of-the-art library facilities, safe and conducive environment for all, and adding COVID-19 preparedness and response plan.

The plan was developed with inputs from PCMDC employees and some TVI partners, who provide their perspective to help shape PCMDC and guide engagements with its partners and beneficiaries as it drives toward a more equitable and sustainable future for its workforce and nation.

“I am proud to share the 2022-2026 PCMDC Strategic Plan, and I am confident it will serve as a comprehensive and powerful guide as we navigate the next five years as a training center”, said Administrator Macapaar who recently assumed the position.

Additionally, the refreshed plan highlights the need to establish flexible and alternative modes of delivery to prepare and respond to the unprecedented pandemic crisis.

The said activity was facilitated by Prof. Gaphor M. Panimbang of Adiong Memorial Polytechnic State College.
