ILIGAN CITY–The local government here through its City Health Office (CHO) is set to begin the inoculation for the A4 priority group.
CHO – Emergency Operation Center (EOC) Health Cluster Manager Dr. Belinda Lim bared that starting Tuesday, August 17, vaccination sites in the city will accept residents belonging to the A4 cluster, but to cater to them efficiently, the group will be divided into phases.
“Ang first phase would be to accept A4 nga 40 to 59 years old. Just yesterday, gipadad-an ta ni DOH (Department of Health) og memorandum, instruction nga pwede na siya i-simultaneous unya tulo nalang ka category, instead na 17 categories. Mahimo nalang siya og tulo ka category which are the private, government and informal,” she said.

Lim said the simultaneous inoculation implied that companies or businesses with 20 personnel or more can already partake in the nationwide program by requesting a vaccination list form from the CHO or the corresponding barangay health center where the business is located to set their respective schedules through appointment slips as the authority finds the vaccination faster if done by groups.
She also said that businesses need not worry about their personnel not coming from the same barangay as their collected appointment slips for their first dose will tell which barangay they belong and so that they may also decide where to get their next appointment slip for their second dose, either from the CHO or still from the barangay health center where their businesses are established.
Meanwhile, the EOC Health Cluster Manager announced that vaccination for healthcare workers belonging to the A1 priority group still continues with the CHO only requiring these frontliners to obtain a certificate of employment or justification from the affiliated health facility.
Further, immunization for senior citizens and persons with comorbidities under the A2 and A3 priority groups, respectively, also goes on, along with the Buddy Bakuna. Philippine Information Agency
