MARAWI CITY: The City government of Marawi is fast-tracking road obstructions clearing within the city, a move to help traffic condition in the city.
Three of the LGU-Funded Solar-powered Irrigation Systems established through the help of Mindanao Development Authority and the Development Bank of the Philippines was launched on August 10, 2021.
The ceremonial switch-on of the said SPIS in the clusters of barangays in the municipality was attended by the two Emmanuels who stood as the fuel for this long-time vision — the strong-willed chairman of MinDA, Sec. Emmanuel “Manny” F. Piñol with his team and the equally public-spirited President/CEO of the Development Bank of the Philippines, Pres. Emmanuel G. Herbosa, likewise with other DBP Officers.
Director of the DBP Board, Ms. Jeannie N. Sandoval also graced the said launching along with the Deputy Minister of MAFAR—BARMM, Ms. Ammal D. Solaiman, DA-Asec Sailila E. Abdula of PHILRICE, ATI-RTC XII Center Director, Abdul I. Daya-an and other officials from MAFAR-BARMM, our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Nashiba U. Gandamra-Sumagayan and Vice Mayor, Atty. Amenodin U. Sumagayan, the farmer leaders, LGU Officials, heads of the different LGU line agencies and barangay chairmen.
As the water flowed the first time in the rice fields of Taraka, the hope of its constituents continues to flow with it for an agriculturally productive and economically competitive municipality. Municipality of Taraka
