World Vision distributes vegetable seeds for food production

MARAWI CITY, May 25 –The World Vision Philippines turned over a total of 400 packs of vegetable seeds to its partner communities in Barangays Rapasun, Cadayonan 2, Malimono, Tuca-Ambolong and Cadayonan 1. 

Each barangay received 20 packs per variety of vegetable seeds which include eggplant, pechay, okra and string beans.

The City Agriculture office recommended what vegetable seeds are appropriate to the areas. 

As a component of the Urban Child Protection Project, this aims to encourage families to plant and produce their own food for their children that will be of help to boost proper nutrition. 

This activity is in line with the Marawi Week of Peace being held from May 17 to 23, 2021. Philippine Information Agency
