MARAWI CITY, May 24–The Marawi Sultanate League (MSL) once again expressed its satisfaction with the continuing rehabilitation in the city led by the Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) together with its 56 implementing agencies.
During the groundbreaking for the construction of the Sarimanok Sports Stadium and Convention Center within the perimeter of the city’s Brgy. Dansalan, Sultan Nasser Sampaco, MSL chairman, pronounced anew that their federation is pleased and contented with the visible progress made by the restoration of the most affected area.
“As far as the performance of the Task Force Bangon Marawi in the Marawi rehabilitation, the Marawi Sultanate League is fully satisfied. After having a conclusion that the accomplishment of the Marawi rehabilitation is more than what is expected, we are fully convinced that the target date of completion by December of 2021 will be realized because of the hard work of all the line agencies and the city government in implementing all the projects intended for the most affected area,” he said.
Sampaco further stressed that along with the rehabilitation, they are also gratified as the TFBM also made sure that Maranao culture is reflected in the pushed projects.
With this, he extended his deep appreciation to the task force for its effort of realizing its projects and proposals.
“We are very thankful with most of the projects like the School of Living Tradition, Torogan which is an important traditional house as far as the Maranao culture is concerned. We are very thankful to the Task Force Bangon Marawi for showing high respect in our culture and religion as proven by most of the projects in line with our culture like the Sarimanok Stadium,” expressed Sampaco.
As of the latest inspection and assessment, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary and TFBM Chairperson Eduardo Del Rosario announced that the ongoing rehabilitation is now 65% complete. Philippine Information Agency
