BARMM extends relief to orphans in Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY: Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim led a relief operation for Darul Aytam Orphanage on Monday, August 24 in Gang, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.

About 50 “yateem” or orphans individually received food packs containing 12.5 kilos of rice, 20 canned goods, hygiene kits such as soap, alcohol, hand sanitizer, face mask, and vitamins, among others.

“It is the responsibility of the Bangsamoro Government to help those people like you who do not have parents to have you taken cared of,” CM Ebrahim told the orphans.

“This is just the beginning, maraming pang programa ang Bangsamoro Government na inilaan para sa inyo“, he stressed.[This is just the beginning, the Bangsamoro Government still has more programs for you.]

Said operation was spearheaded by the Bangsamoro Government’s Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG), through its Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (READI).

MILG Minister Atty. Naguib Sinarimbo, President of Darul Aytam Sheikh Hassan Maluon, and some members of the Philippine Marines and the Philippine National Police Regional Office-BARMM were also present on Monday’s activity.
