Davao Region’s Covid-19 cases breach 1K mark

DIGOS CITY: The number of confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases in Davao Region breached the 1,000 mark as of 5 p.m. Wednesday (July 22), the Department of Health in Davao Region (DOH-11) said in a case bulletin.

On the same day, DOH-11 reported 25 new cases in the region, bringing the total number of cases to 1,018, of which 417 are active.

Of the active cases, 335 are asymptomatic, 72 are mild cases, seven are severe cases, and three are listed in critical condition.

DOH-11 said that of the 25 new cases, 10 are from this city, four from Davao del Norte, four from Davao Oriental, four from Davao del Sur, and three from Davao Occidental.

Six recoveries were also reported on the same day, bringing the total recoveries in the region to 564.

DOH-11 said nine of the new cases are locally-stranded individuals (LSIs) and eight returning overseas Filipinos (ROFs).
