Mayor leads campaign vs Covid-19 in Mulondo, LDS

ILIGAN CITY: The municipal government of Mulondo in the province of Lanao del Sur is intensifying its mass campaign against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) to prevent spread and transmission in the locality.

Mulondo municipal mayor Nihara M. Panandigan spearheaded recently the Covid-19 awareness campaign among constituents of the 26 barangays (villages) with the municipal rural health unit (RHU) led Dr. Naima Mala as the lead agency.

Mayor Panandigan appealed to her constituents to be cooperative in fighting this disease for their welfare.

Panandigan asked the village chiefs to be on alert and report to health authorities any health case that may suddenly crop up in their respective viallages.

The lady mayor said this not the responsibility of one but every resident of the municipality.

On her part, Dr. Naima Mala discussed what ought to be done amid the this situation which include Proper Hand Washing Technique and Healthy Lifestyle.

With the assistance of barangay officials and health workers, the Mulondo RHU conducted also regular contact tracing and monitoring of Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) and Persons Under Investigation (PUIs).
